Designed primarily for ballplayers age 5-6, this division makes use of a pitching machine to allow for more hittable balls at the plate and more action in the field. Fear of actually being hit by a pitched ball is diminished. It makes the game safer and improves the playing confidence and ability of all participants.
Fall season games begin the first weekend after Labor and generally last to the last weekend of October.
Players are provided team hat, jersey, & baseball socks.
Team bats & helmets are provided but players may bring their own as long as they are Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth approved.
Players must have their own baseball glove & baseball pants and are strongly encouraged to wear baseball cleats and an athletic supporter ("cup").
Teams meet 1 time during the week for a 1-1.5 hour practice and 1.5 hour for games on Saturday afternoons.
Games and practices are scheduled at Settlers Park in Southbury & Shepardson Park in Middlebury.
Practice day and time is scheduled in early September after registration is complete and teams are formed.
Teams are formed by AA League President, team assignments will be communicated the week of Labor Day.
